Google’s User Experience

12 Mar

During the past year, I’ve become deeply familiar with Google’s internal design processes and philosophies. The one thing that really stands out is their fundamental, and company wide, blue sky approach to design problems. Each and every team member is empowered to ask the ubiquitous “what if” question throughout the design, development and even QA process. Though this may be frustrating to outside partners who are more constrained with the reality of profitability, it does make for top-notch products. Check out their preso from 2006 about “The Science and Art of User Experience at Google.”
